Playground Equipment

You would push and pull the handle in front of you and your feet went forward and back opposite the handle to make it spin around and aroaund. I called it a “whirly bird” as a kid and want to get one for my nieces. I can’t find one. I looked for the Fisher Price Push and Pull Merry Go Round but i couldnt find it anywhere. Is there somewhere i find the fisherprice one, or is there any other names for it?

We have just had a large commercial playground installed between some beautiful shade trees that lie between a church and school. The committee and administration had no idea that these beautiful trees would drip sap all over the brand new playground making it impossible to use without constant cleaning. A kindergarten child slid half-way down and went head first when they became stuck in the sap. The monkey bars are also a problem. The school/church needs an economical way to clean the equipment without chopping down the trees, if possible, and without causing damage or toxicity to the playground or the children’s clothing.

Our town was destroyed and our school was severely damaged in Rita. The kids will be returning this year in portable buildings…..Johnson Bayou School in Louisiana. Our children have no playground equipment now, and we can’t seem to find financial help. Does anyone know where we might purchase used playground equipment? I’ve heard that items that were torn out of fast food restaurants are for sale, but have found nothing…
